Application

The White Star, Target Hit Cartridge can be fired from several launching devices:

  • Omega 60
  • Omega 36
  • Omega 1
  • Omega 1P

LA45 Airburst
Name: LA45 Airburst
Hazard Class: 1.4 G
DODIC: LA45

Description

The Airburst Cartridge simulates the effect of an artillery or mortar explosion with an airburst fuze. Upon ignition, the cartridge emits an audible whistle effect that explodes roughly 100 feet above ground.

Application

The Airburst Cartridge can be fired from several launching devices:

  • Omega 60
  • Omega 36
  • Omega 1
  • Omega 1P

The cartridge can be used by fire markers when an artillery effect is needed. It can also be used in conjunction with actions on the objective where the assaulting forces need to prepare the objective with mortar or artillery assets.

LA46/M34 Hostile Fire
Name: LA46/M34 Hostile Fire
Hazard Class: 1.4 G
DODIC: LA54

Application

The Hostile Fire Cartridge can be fired from several launching devices:

  • Omega 60
  • Omega 36
  • Omega 1
  • Omega 1P

The cartridge can be employed when a main gun or large caliber munition firing event needs to be simulated. It can also simulate a small explosion in training environments.

LA47 Stinger
Name: LA47 Stinger
Hazard Class: 1.4 G
DODIC: LA47

Description

The Stinger Cartridge simulates the visible plume of a surface to air missile or shoulder launched rocket. The simulated effect travels approximately 150 feet and consumes in flight with no debris falling to earth.

Application

The Stinger Cartridge can be fired from several launching devices:

  • Omega 60
  • Omega 36
  • Omega 1
  • Omega 1P
  • MADSS

The cartridge can be used to simulate the effect of a Rocket Propelled Grenade (RPG) or Man-Portable Air Defense Missile Fire. It can also be used by Opposing Forces (OPFOR) to initiate ambushes. In aviation training, it can provide an effective visual stimulation for aviators during antiaircraft missile training.
